The quadrangular freshman boat race at Poughkeepsie on June 24th was won by Cornell. Harvard was not ready at the start, but rowed the race through, finishing second. The race was one of the most exoiting eight-crewed races ever rowed. The Cornell and Harvard crews were:

The 'Varsity Race.
Cornell won the quadrangular 'varsity race by three lengths, Harvard finishing second. After making a beautiful start Harvard led for two and a quarter miles when Cornell took the lead which she held to the end. The Cornell and Harvard crews were:
