Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Harvard had a walkover in the second game of the series against Cornell on Saturday, and having already won two games the third game on neutral grounds will be unnecessary.
In spite of the ease with which Harvard won, the team played with a good deal of snap, and batted as well as in any game this year. The hits came generally at the right time and the men all hit the ball hard. The best plays of the game were a pretty throw to the plate by Rand which out off a run, and a good stop and throw by Stevenson. Clarkson continued his recent good work at the bat and made three singles and a double out of five chances.
Cornell was extremely weak at the bat and could secure only four scattered singles off Haughton's pitching. In seven out of the nine innings Cornell went out in one, two, three order. The team, however, played a fairly good fielding game considering the number of hits which they had to chase.
Harvard scored three times in the first inning. Dean singled, and took second on Scannell's sacrifice. Burgess struck out, but Clarkson and Haughton hit safely, and Rand's fly was muffed by Kingsley. Young's balk allowed Haughton to come in, but Stevenson struck out.
In the fourth inning Young became rather wild and gave two bases on balls besides hitting another man and making a wild throw. These misplays, together with singles by Rand, Scannell and Clarkson yielded five runs. No more scoring was done until the seventh, when five successive hits were made with no one out. Paine flield out to Aldrich, and Chandler struck out. The catcher, however, dropped the ball and Stevenson, forgetting that he was not forced, ran down to second, thus forcing Haughton off third where he was put out.
