THE GAME TODAY.

The Second Game with Princeton on Holmes Field.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The second of the series of games with Princeton will be played this afternoon on Holmes Field at 3 o'clock. The first game was won by Princeton by a score of 17 to 9, but since that time the Harvard team has improved immensely and has defeated Cornell, Brown, Pennsylvania and Chicago. With the advantage of playing on the home grounds, Harvard has at least an even chance of winning this afternoon.

Harvard is unfortunate in having recently lost two of her regular players. Pote has been forced to stop playing and T. Stevenson has been sick and may not be able to play again this year. Chandler will play shortstop and Haughton first base.

The batting order of the two teams will probably be as follows:

HARVARD. PRINCETON.

Dean, 2b. s. s., Ward.

Scannell, c. p., Easton.

Burgess, r. f. r. f., Altman.

Clarkson, c. f. 1b., Kelly.

Haughton, 1b. c., Smith.

Rand, l. f. c. f., Bradley.

Stevenson, 3b. l. f., Titus.

Paine, p. 3b., Gunster.

Chandler, s. s. 2b., Wheeler.
