Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
To the Eitors of the Crimson:
In a little over a week from today the 'Varsity Crew leaves Cambridge and goes to its quarters at Poughkeepsie. During the whole year the men have worked hard and conscientiously in order that a crew might be turned out which would be a credit to the University. And this they have accomplished. Now it seems to me that something should be done to show these men that their earnest efforts are not forgotten, and that even though their daily practice cannot be watched by a large number of students, still the manner in which they have worked, and the great sacrifices which they have undergone for Harvard's welfare, are heartily appreciated by all of us.
During the latter part of the '70's, and the early 80's, it was the custom of the students to go down to the boat house every day, during the last week of the crew's stay in Cambridge, and there line up along the water front, and cheer them. The crew would then row up and down the river several times, before going down into the basin, and show the men how they had improved in speed and form. In this way a great deal of enthusiasm was aroused, and that feeling of estrangement, which now exists between the crew and the rest of the College, was entirely lacking. Now why can't we renew this old custom, and all go down to the boat house next week and show our crew that we heartily appreciate their work? Surely this would stir up a good old-fashioned enthusiasm and instill new vigor into the men.
