WORCESTER, May 26.- Georgetown narrowly escaped a shut-out this afternoon at the hands of Holy Cross, the Worcester collegians scoring eight runs, while the Southerners could only get one man over the plate. Mahoney pitched an excellent game for the visitors during the first four innings, but he weakened and Holy Cross won easily. Papalau, for Holy Cross, pitched a steady game throughout.
