The Juniors defeated the Seniors yesterday afternoon in a close game by the score of five to one.

This is Ninety-seven's second victory over Ninety-six and they will now play Ninety-nine for the class championship. The game was very close till the eighth inning, when with the score two to one, Ninety-seven made three runs after two men were out. Ninety-six put a much stronger team in the field than they did in the first game, but Ninety-seven won by their well bunched hits and Ninety-six's errors at critical times.

The batteries of both teams were extremely good. Harris struck out tenmen, and Ames eleven, while only four hits were made off Harris and five off Ames. Beside the batteries, the best work for Ninety-seven was done by Garrison. Hallowell also did well and Abbott accepted all his chances in the field.

For Ninety-six, Wrenn was easily the best, and Hayes played a good game at first.

Ninety-seven went to bat first and scored two runs on hits by Garrison, Hallowell and Nichols.

In the third inning Ninety-six got their only run. McCarty hit safely, stole second, and a moment later came in on Paine's two-bagger. The side was out on Hayes' fly to Abbott.

In the eighth, Ninety-seven made two runs. Lord was hit by a ball and took first. He then stole second and third and came in on Hallowell's hit. Nichols hit to Armstrong, who threw wild, and Hallowell scored. Nichols was caught off third, but scored the final run on Hoppin's error.
