The College Nine easily defeated Groton yesterday afternoon. In the second inning Groton knocked out her only runs, which were partially owing to errors by Hayes, Morton and Holt. After this, Gregory pitched a beautiful game, shutting them out for the remaining seven innings. The features of the game were the two home runs by Clark and Martin, Martin's especially being a long drive far over centre fielder's head.

The following is the score by innings:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

College Nine, 0 0 4 4 2 0 1 1 3-15

Groton, 0 5 0 0 0 0 0 0 0-5
