The Cricket Eleven will leave for Philadelphia this evening by the Fall River boat to play the University of Pennsylvania and Haverford for the intercollegiate championship. A match will be played Thursday with the Philadelphia Club, one of the strongest in Philadelphia. Friday the match with the University of Pennsylvania takes place and Saturday with Haverford. The Harvard eleven will be as follows: P. H. Clark '96, G. Lippincott '96, W. W. Comfort Gr., W. W. Duckering Med., E. H. Wells '97, E. du Pont '97, H. G. Gray '97, H. D. Scott '98, T. M. Hastings '98, C. F. Morgan '98 and H. Blanchard '98.

The last time the Harvard Eleven went to Philadelphia, two years ago, they won the intercollegiate championship. This year the chances are still better. The batting is better on the whole, and there is less reliance on a few stars. Clark, Comfort and Lippincott are probably the best batters, although the latter has not been doing as well this year as usual. Wells and Hastings have been showing up well, also. Clark is the strongest bowler. Hastings, du Pont and Lippincott will do the rest of the bowling. Gray is the regular wicket keeper. Duckering has only been out a short time, but is a very steady batter.

Yesterday a match was scheduled with the B. A. A. eleven at Longwood, but it was given up on account of rain.
