On Saturday the Freshmen defeated the North Shore Athletic Club at Clifton by the score of eleven to two. The game was very close until the ninth inning, when the North Shore A. C. went to pieces and gave Ninety-nine eight runs after two men were out. Mains was in the box for the Freshmen and pitched his usual good game, and allowed only four hits to be made off him. The Freshmen played a good game, but the batting was weak until the ninth inning when Ninety-nine made six safe hits.
