Last evening twenty-seven men presented themselves as candidates for the military band which is to take part in the Cambridge parade on June 3. Considering that the men had never played together before, the rehearsal was remarkably good. There is still a lack of instruments in a good many parts, especially in the altos and baritones, and all men who play on wind instruments are earnestly urged to take part in the next rehearsal, which is to be on Wednesday evening next. If two or three more piccolos and drums can be secured a drum corps will undoubtedly be formed, which will act in connection with the band.
