The football squad, consisting of about thirty men, has been out practicing daily for the past week. Most of the men have never played on a class team before and know very little about the game. Captain Wrightington, Doucette, Merriman, F. Shaw and Tiffany have been coaching the men in the fundamental principles of blocking, breaking through, tackling and kicking and catching punts. A short game has been played at the close of the practice each day, lasting from five to seven minutes. Yesterday afternoon, Fairbank and Farley of this year's freshman football team came out for the first time. Next Monday, a call will be made for all men in the University to come out, including 'varsity and class team men.
