'Varsity Nine.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On account of the strong cold wind yesterday, the two varsity baseball squads did not practice long. The candidates practiced batting, fielding and base-sliding.

Hereafter there will be fewer changes in the make-up of the first squad, in order that the men may learn to play together better as a team.

Any man however, on the second nine whose playing warrants it will be taken to the first squad at once.

The men now playing with the first nine are:

Pitchers-Cozzens, Paine and Haughton.

Catchers-Scannell, Branch and Brown.

First base-T. Stevenson.

Second base-Dean.

Short stop-Wrenn.

Third base-Vincent.

Fielders-Rand, Selfridge and Paine or Haughton.
