PROVIDENCE, R. I., April 29.- The annual spring meeting of the Brown University Athletic Association drew a large crowd to Lincoln Field this afternoon. There was some good new material, and the college records were broken in the mile walk, in the two-mile run and the hammer throw. The college championship was won by the sophomore class, with the juniors second. The summaries and winners:-

Half mile run. Stockwell, '99. Time, 2m. 24 3-5s.

120 yards hurdles. McComber '96. Time 19 1-5s.

440 yards dash. Gunn '98. Time, 55 1-5s.

100 yards dash. O'Brien '98. Time, 10 3-5s.

220 yards hurdle. Baker '99. Time, 30 1-5s.

220 yards dash. O'Brien '98. Time, 24s.
