Work is being done on the tennis courts on Jarvis Field and they will be ready to play on by next week at the latest, and possibly by Saturday of this week if the weather permits.
Secretary Ware of the Lawn Tennis Club has sent out over one hundred circulars to the Harvard preparatory schools, announcing the date of the interscholastic tournament May 2. The entries will close May 1. Last year there were about seventy-five entries to the interscholastic tournament, and there ought to be fully that number this year. The regular college tournament will take place during the week beginning May 18.
Any men desiring to join the Lawn Tennis Club can obtain their shingles by applying to L. E. Ware, 28 Holyoke street, and paying two dollars.
