HARVARD MEMORIAL SOCIETY.

A Tablet to be Erected on Massachusetts Hall this Month.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There will probably be held some time next year, under the auspices of the Harvard Memorial Society, an exhibition of all the objects of historic interest connected with the College that can be obtained. The society has also under consideration a series of small bronze tablets about five by twenty-five inches which may be framed in oak and sunk in the wall over the fireplace in rooms once held by famous men. These tablets would take the place of the outside tablets previously planned for.

A tablet will be erected on Massachusetts Hall during this month, lettered as follows:

MASSACHUSETTS HALL

BUILT BY THE PROVINCE 1720

OCCUPIED BY THE AMERICAN ARMY 1775-1776

USED FOR STUDENTS ROOMS UNTIL 1870-71.

APRIL (seal) 1896.

The election from the class of '97 will be held after the last lecture by Judge Grant. At the lecture this evening Professor Hart will preside.
