The 'varsity played a five-inning practice game with the freshman nine yesterday afternoon. During the preliminary warming up the freshmen were coached by the 'varsity players. Gregory and Brown (the freshman catcher) were the battery for the 'varsity, while Highlands and Buckman played with '98.

The freshmen showed great improvement in batting, hitting the ball quite freely. Their fielding is quite up to the average of freshman teams.

The features of the game were a running catch by Goodridge close to the foul line and home runs by Scannell and Rand.
