Yesterday afternoon the Bicycle Squad took a trip to Dedham and rode over the Dedham ten mile course. Several men have entered for the handicap race over this course, which is to be held under the auspices of the Dedham Cycle Club on April 20. The men's names are: A. E. Dacey 3 L., G. F. Hurt '98, E. D. Powers '98, J. F. Word '98, H. B. Hewitt '99, H. H. Richards '98, H. C. Burdett '98, R. P. Vail Sp., H. H. Brown '97, F. V. Stone '98.
Arrangements have been made by which special rooms are secured for Harvard men at the Dedham Club House. It is expected that there will be more than 150 entries for this road race, which is an annual event and in which many of the best riders of the country have entered. There will be thirty-two prizes, two of them being time prizes. The record for the course is 27m. 33s. and was made last year by T. S. Butler. As the road is in much better condition this year, it is thought that the record will be lowered.
