No matches were played yesterday in the Newton indoor tennis tournament, as it was desired to give the players a rest. Last night an exhibition match was played between Chace and Foote of Yale, which resulted in a victory for Chace, 7-5, 6-0. Afterwards a match was played in doubles between Chace and Foote, and J. P. Paret and F. H. Hovey. Hovey and Paret won, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. This afternoon the semi-finals in the tournament between E. Sheafe and E. R. Marvin '99, and R. C. Thomas '96 and A. Codman '96 will be played, and, in the evening the finals will be played.
