THE HASTY PUDDING PLAY.

The Dates of the Performances Now Arranged.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the past week or two both principals and chorus of the Ninety-six Pudding play have been rehearsing every day in preparation for the public performances to be given next month. The Faculty prohibition of the usual trip to New York during the spring vacation has caused some disappointment, but apparently no loss of interest or enthusiasm as far as things theatrical are concerned. The play is already beginning to take shape and has reached a more advanced stage than is usual so long before the date of presentation. Everything points to even more than ordinary success this year.

The libretto of "Branglebrink" (so the play is called) has been written by R. M. Townsend '96. The music is in chief part the work of J. A. Carpenter '97, though there will be several numbers by F. B. Whittemore '96, and R. G. Morse '96. The principal characters will be acted by A. H. Parker '97, H. Schurz '97, E. G. Knoblauch '96, E. V. Frothingham '96, and L. B. Valentine '97. The orchestra will be led by F. B. Whittemore, formerly leader of the Glee Club.

The dates selected by the Club for the performances are as follows:

April 9, Thursday, graduates' night.

April 11, Saturday (afternoon and evening), Boston.

April 13, Monday (evening), Boston.

April 14, Tuesday (evening), Boston.

April 15, Wednesday, (evening), Cambridge.

April 16, Thursday (evening), Cambridge.

April 17, Friday (evening), Cambridge.

The Boston performances will be given in Copley Hall, those in Cambridge at the Club House.
