Chess Club Meeting.

The Chess Club met in Thayer 1 last evening and the following officers were elected: President, E. E. Southard '97; vice-president, A. W. Ryder '97; F. E. Thayer '99.

After the business meeting Mr. P. J. Hill, of the Manhattan Chess Club, defeated the Harvard Chess Club by a score of 71/2 games to 21/2. Those that won and drew were as follows:

Holway, centre gambit, won.

Johnson, Queen's gambit, declined, won.

Foulke, King's gambit, declined, won.

Ryder, King's gambit, drawn.

Southard, Ruy Lopez, drawn.
