The Harvard Cycling Association has made arrangements with the Charles River Park to use its new track for the invitation college meeting to be held June 3, 1896. The secretary has lately received a letter from the University of Pennsylvania stating that they will send a team to compete in the "Quad" race. One of the special features of this meeting will be an invitation team race between two of the leading colleges. The teams will consist of three men and a pacemaker from each college. The bicycle squad will train in the Gymnasium every afternoon until the roads are in good condition and just as soon as the track on Holmes Field is ready the preliminary track practice will begin. Every rider in college is urged to give his name to Captain Woods as soon as possible and there is little doubt that if every man who rides or is in any way interested in cycling, will turn out and try for the team that with the advantage of training on a suitable track Harvard will turn out a winning team.
