The Rev. Henry A. Parker gave an informal talk before the members of the St. Paul's Society last evening. Mr. Parker was one of the founders of the society and a member of the class of '64. The causes which led to the formation of this society were mainly intellectual. The aggressiveness of Unitarianism and the supposed antagonism of the Darwinian theory to christianity were perhaps the most important. The changed condition of affairs in the university has led to a corresponding change in the character of the society. The literary and instructive side has entirely passed away while there remains the devotional, phlanthropical and social.
