Professor John Trowbridge will deliver a lecture on "Cathode Ray Photography" under the auspices of the Engineering Society this evening at 7.45 in the Jefferson Physical Laboratory. The lecture will be illustrated by experiments and by the lantern and is open to members of the University and their friends.
George W. Melville, Engineer-in-Chief of the United States Navy, will deliver an address under the auspices of the Engineering Society in Sever 11, at 4.30 p. m., Friday, February 21.
Many members of the University will remember with what enthusiasm his account of the Arctic expedition of the "Jeannette" was heard here two years ago. He was the only surviving officer of that memorable expedition and, although the subject is not definitely announced, it is probable that he will speak in continuation of his former address. It will be open to the public.
