Engineering Society.

The first meeting of the society for the year will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7.30 p.m., in Room 1, L. S. S. All members of the University, especially the new members, who are interested in engineering subjects, are cordially invited and urged to join the society. It is expected that Professor Hollis will address a few words to the meeting on some general topic.

It is the plan of the society for the coming year, to have some six or eight lectures given by engineers of note, to which all members of the University are invited. At other meetings it is proposed to have papers and discussions upon engineering subjects by the members. The meetings, it is hoped, will be found of interest, not alone to the advanced students, but also to those who are beginning their engineering studies.
