The first regular meeting of the Harvard Engineering Society will be held October 18 (Friday) at 7.45 p. m. in L. S. S. 1. The following papers will be read: "Engineering in South and Central America," Mr. J. F. Brandes '98 of Buenos Aires, Argentine; "The Collapse of the Coliseum at Chicago," Mr. A. F. Giese '98. The rest of the time will be devoted to business of importance.
