The annual cross country championship run will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The start will be from the Gymnasium and the finish in front of the Law School.
The first men in should reach the finish at about half past four. The course will be up Garden street to the dike, across the clay pits, along the dike to Concord avenue, around Fresh Pond to Mr. Auburn and thence home to the Law School.
A trail will be laid over the course early in the afternoon, so that there should be no difficulty in following the regular course. Each man is to run his own race from start to finish and must cover the full distance, five miles. Owing to the close bunching of the men in the recent hare and hound runs the finish in the cross country run should be close. Three prizes are offered to the first three men in.
