Preparatory School English.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. Charles Francis Adams, as chairman of a committee to investigate the study of English in preparatory schools, has asked the English Department of Harvard to prescribe a theme on preparatory English in the various courses given in the language.

The required theme, of four pages in length, is to contain a detailed description of the training each student has received before entering college, and is not for publication in any form. In some of the English courses the themes have already been collected.
