Preparation of the Eleven for the Princeton Game on Saturday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There are only four days remaining before the Yale eleven will line up against Princeton in the annual game at Manhattan Field. The University is awaiting this event with great interest, as a very close and exciting game is looked for this year. The drawings for seats have been made, and the tickets will be given out to the university tomorrow. The number of applications handed in is greater than ever before, and there will be but few seats left over for the outside public. Under the combined coaching of several of Yale's old players, new life has been infused into the eleven during the last week. Both the team and the individual work were especially good in the practice on Thursday and Friday, although this was not the case in the last home game of the season with the New Jersey A. C. on Saturday. During the final days of practice, every effort will be made by the coaches to get the team into championship form, and to make the line-up of the eleven on Saturday the strongest that the University can produce.

The subjects for the Ten Eyck prizes, open to members of the junior class, have been announced, and are twelve in number. This prize is awarded to the successful competitor at the Junior Exhibition, held in the college chapel during the second term each year. The subjects for essays in competition for the Townsend Premiums, open to seniors have also been recently announced. These prizes, six in number, are awarded annually for the best six essays written by members of the class. In addition, the De Forest gold medal, valued at one hundred dollars, is awarded to the one out of these six men who delivers his essay in the best style.

Contrary to the usual custom, there will be no meeting of the Yale Corporation this fall. The reason for this is the absence of President Dwight, in Europe. The letter of Chairman Troup of the Connecticut Democratic Committee to the Yale faculty regarding the Bryan incident on the Green in September will not be brought up until the next meeting of the corporation in January or February.
