The Freshman eleven practiced as usual on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. The two elevens were put through longer preliminary practice than usual. On account of this, no regular game was played, although the two teams lined up and practiced breaking through on kicks.
This afternoon the eleven plays the Groton Academy team at Groton. The line-up will be as follows: Heard, l. e.; Boal, l. t.; Burden, l. g., Kidder, c.; Trainer, r. g.; Talbot, r. t., Davis, r. e.; Hatch, q. b.; Parker, l. h. b.; Warren, r. h. b.; Gray, f. b.
The date for the game with the Pennsylvania freshman eleven has been definitely decided upon as November 21. Pennsylvania did not wish to play on that day; however, as the Harvard team can not play earlier than four o'clock on any day of the week but Saturday, that day was agreed upon at a meeting held Thursday between Manager Spalding and Ex-Captain Carl Williams of Pennsylvania.
Burden who has been playing on the 'Varsity squad will probably play on the Freshman team against Pennsylvania.
