Yesterday afternoon about 300 men, under the leadership of R. H. Stevenson '97, assembled in Harvard Square and greeted Mr. Lebmann in a very enthusiastic manner, the cheering being the best that has been heard in Cambridge this year.
Later on in the afternoon Boardman and Goodrich, Sprague and Hollister, Bull and McDuffie, went out on the river in a pair-oar, and were coached by Mr. Lehmann from the coxswain's seat.
Mr. Lehmann is a Cambridge boating man, but has coached the Oxford crew for a number of years. He was captain of the Leander crew in '94 and '95, and coached the winning crew of the Leander Club last spring which won at Henley, defeating Yale in the first heat.
