Week-day morning prayers at 8.45 a. m. No seats are assigned, either for officers or classes.

Rev. Phillips Brooks, D. D., will conduct prayers from November 22, to December 14.

The preacher conducting morning prayers may be found at Wadsworth House 1 every week-day during his term of service.

Vesper services will be held on Thursday of each week in term time until further notice. Each service will begin promptly at 5 p. m., and close about 5.30. The public are invited to these services.

LECTURES ON GERMAN LITERATURE.During this month two more introductory lectures will be delivered to freshmen by instructors in the German department. They will be given on Thursdays at 2 p. m, in Sever 11. The subjects are as follows.

December 12, Goethe and Schiller. Asst. Professor Bartlett.

December 19, the Romantic School and the Beginnings of Germanic Philology. Asst. Professor von Jagemann. LECTURES ON GREEK ARCHAEOLOGY.

Dr. Tarbell will deliver two more public lectures on topics in Greek archaeplogy on the following dates:

Wednesday, Dec. 11, Epidauros and the Worship of Askleplos (illustrated). Jefferson Physical Laboratory, 7.30 p. m.

Specimens of Theme IV. will be read and discussed in Sever 11 on Tuesday, December 10, at 2 o'clock.

Theme III will be returned to the writers from 3 until 4 o'clock. Themes not called for at that time will be kept for one week at Grays 18. where the writers may call for them during office hours. After the expiration of one week no theme will be returned to the writer.

Theme V., a narrative, will be due on Tuesday, December 17.

Themes are to be deposited in the wooden box outside the door of Gray's 18 not later then 4 o'clock. By the regulations no overdue theme will be accepted unless the writer satisfies the Secretary that his failure to present it at the proper time was caused by serious illness or other unavoidable hindrance.

Every student is required to follow implicitly the directions with regard to paper, folding, endorsing, etc., given on the English Composition card.

The Museum of Comparative Zoology the Peabody Museum of Archxology, and the Mineralogical Museum in Boylston Hall, are open to the public every week-day from 9 till 5.

The Botanic Garden is open Sundays as well as week days.

The library in Gore Hall is open Sundays during term-time from 1 till 5 o'clock for the use of members of the university only.

The rooms of the Fine Arts department in Sever hall are open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 5 o'clock.
