Monday evening, in accordance with the usual custom, a reception to new students will be held in Sanders Theatre at 8 o'clock. Dean Shaler, chairman of the committee on the reception of new students, will preside. The speakers of the evening will be President Eliot, Dr. Edward Everett Hale, Dr. H. W. Walcott, a member of the Corporation, and probably Acting-Governor Walcott. After the meeting in Sanders, a reception will be held in Memorial Hall, to which all of the officers of instruction and government have been invited and an opportunity will be afforded students to meet such officers of the college as they may desire, and also members of their own and other classes. A cordial invitation is extended to all members of the University to be present. Refreshments will be served and the occasion gives one of the few opportunities of the year to establish the fraternity of Harvard men.
