Undergraduate Scholarships.

It has been voted by the Faculty and confirmed by vote of the Corporation to confer the following undergraduate scholarships for the year 1896-97.

It will be noticed that the newly established John Harvard scholarships are here assigned for the first time. This list constitutes the first-class of scholarships, containing as it does the John Harvard honors and the other scholarships which are given as rewards for high academic distinction. The second list including less important scholarships and the third list, containing scholarships awarded on special claims are not yet decided upon.
