The debate of the Harvard Union last evening in Sever 11, was upon the subject, "Resolved, That the United States should propose an alliance with England for the protection of the Christians in Turkey." R. E. Olds '97, and W. E. Weaver '98, supported the affirmative. H. D. Bushnell '98, and F. H. Smith L. S., had the negative. A vote by the house resulted in 9 votes for affirmative against 13 for negative. Many spoke from the floor after the debate was opened to the house.
