The world has learned by experience that Christianity and the state ought always to be separated, but the Christian and the state should always go hand in hand. It is our duty as educated Christian men to take an active interest in the government of the nation and in the questions of the day, even in the athletic questions.
Dr. Moxom, D.D., of Springfield, who is now conducting prayers in Appleton Chapel, closed the meeting with a prayer and benediction.
