Hopkinson School, 10; '99, 0.

Yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field the Hopkinson School team defeated the '99 eleven by a score of 10 to 0. Hopkinson's playing was steady and strong throughout the game and Stillman's punting was excellent. Ninety-nine's team play was ragged, and Hopkinson easily opened large holes in the line.

In the first half Ninety-nine kicked off and Hopkinson rushed the ball back to '99's ten yard line, then after exchanging kicks Hopkinson pushed the ball over for a touchdown and Stillman kicked a goal. During the rest of the half the ball was continually in Ninety-nine's territory and Hopkinson by blocking two of Ninety-nine's kicks, made a second touchdown, but failed to kick a goal. The half closed with the ball in Ninety-nine's territory.

In the second half ninety-nine played a steadier game and failed to score twice only on account of bad fumbles.

The line-up of the '99 team was as follows:

Johnson, l. e.; Homans, Whitbeck, l. t.; Huntington, Ichlasinger, l. g.; Whitbeck, Whitman, c.; Catlin, r. g.; Stowell, r. t.; Jewell, Sherwin, r. e.; Mann, Farley, Thompson, q. b.; Stowell, l. h. b.; Raymond, r. h. b.; Farr, Brown, f. b.
