The annual reception of the St. Paul's Society to Freshmen and first-year men in the University will be held at the Colonial Club this evening at 8 o'clock. A large number of invitations have been sent out, but, owing to the incompleteness of the religious census this year, some men must have been omitted. It is therefore hoped that all churchmen in the Freshman class or first-year men in other departments, whether or not they have received invitations, will feel themselves cordially welcome. Bishop Lawrence will make a short address and Dean Hodges, one of the University preachers, Rev. Dr. Edward Abbott, Rev. W. B. King, and possibly the Rev. W. G. Thayer, of St. Mark's School, will be present. It is also hoped that a number of churchmen among the members of the faculty will be there.
