MOTT HAVEN CANDIDATES.

A Promising Number of Men Present Themselves as Candidates.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

One hundred and fifty-one men presented themselves last evening in response to Captain Bremer's call for men. The meeting was addressed by Captain Bremer, Mr. Lathrop and Mr. G. B. Morrison. Every one was urged to do his best to make this a winning team. The work was briefly outlined and will be practically the same as in former years. There will be four squads, at 10 and 11 in the morning and 3.30 and 4.30 in the afternoon. All men who possibly can are urged to join the morning sections, as those in the afternoon are often so large as to be unwieldy. No spiked shoes will be allowed to be worn in the Gymnasium except down stairs in certain places, and this rule will be rigidly enforced. The first important games are those which the B. A. A. holds on Feb. 8. All those men who were unable to be present last evening and who intend to try for the team can hand their names to Mr. Lathrop any time and join any of the practice squads.
