The largest number of candidates for the Mott Haven Team that ever responded to the mid-winter call of the captain, assembled in the Trophy Room yesterday afternoon. There were 188 men in all. Mr. Lathrop spoke briefly in regard to the training. His remarks were supplemented by Captain Thompson. The men will be divided into four squads, meeting in the gymnasium at 11, 12, 3.30 and 4.30. The usual dumbbell work, chest weight exercise and runs will constitute the daily work.
