The graduate advisers in baseball, to whom the appointment of the captain of this year's nine was entrusted by the Athletic Committee, after consultation with members of last year's team present at the meeting called on Saturday evening, have appointed James Dean '97 of Brookline, captain for the coming season. Dean was captain of the '97 freshman nine and played quarterback on his class football team the same year. Last year he was a substitute on the 'varsity nine at third base and shortstop.
