At the athletic meeting which the B. A. A. will hold February 8 in the Mechanics Building there will be a class team race. The following men have been appointed captains of the teams: '96, M. G. Gonterman; '97, A. M. Eaton; '98, J. Edson; '99, H. H. Fish. In addition to this race the events will be as follows:

Team Races.

Harvard vs. U. of P.

B. A. A. vs. Newton A. A.

English High vs. Boston Latin.

Amherst vs. Williams College.

Worcester A. C. vs. Suffolk A. C.

Cambridgeport Gym. vs. East Boston A. A.

First Regiment vs. Naval Brigade.

Special Race (Scratch.)

2 miles invitation race. T. P. Conneff, Holy Cross College and N. Y. A. C.; C. H. Bean, N. J. A. C., 5 miles amateur champion; G. W. Orton, U. of P., amateur champion; A. Blake, B. A. A.; W. Allison, Worcester A. C.; J. D. Delaney, Georgetown University, and others.

Special Event.

40 yards dash (scratch) novice. Open to those who have never won a prize in an open running event at any distance.

Handicap Events.

40 yds. dash (9 ft. limit); 600 yds. run (30 yds); 45 yards high hurdles (9 ft.); putting 16 lb. shot (7 ft.); 1000 yards run (50 yds.); 1 mile run (70 yds.); running high jump (6 inches).

Entries to these events will close on January 30 with John Graham, B. A. A. Harvard men may give their entries to Mr. Lathrop.
