Dr. Wines delivered last evening his final lecture in the course which he has been giving on the Social Problems. His subject was the Functions of the University relative to the Social Evils. In this lecture Dr. Wines outlined the education which the university should provide for the future citizen, and urged especially the necessity of the more general study of the social sciences, particularly through personal observation.
