The formal challenge from the Yale Whist Club for a team match of duplicate whist has been received. The details of the match have not as yet been agreed upon, but probably there will be little variation from last year; that is, the teams will play three pairs on a side, each pair to play forty-eight deals.

On Friday evening, Jan. 17, there will be a meeting of the Whist Club to take action on this challenge, and to make arrangements for the University tournament. The meeting will be held in Matthews 41, and will be called at 7 o'clock, sharp. Owing to the importance of the business to be transacted, it is very necessary that every member be present.
