Yesterday's football practice was very light. Mr. Lathrop was on the field to look after the men. Emmons '95 coached the first squad most of the time. Waters '94 was on the field to coach Borden in passing the ball. Jaffray played in the preliminary practice but did not play when the first and second elevens lined up.

Connor '97, who played on the 'varsity squad last year, and Bouve, who was on the freshman eleven last year, were out for the first time this year. Mr. Lathrop made them run around the field instead of letting them take part in the regular practice.

No brilliant plays were made in the practice yesterday. Weld, who has been playing a good game on the first eleven, did poorly yesterday. He fumbled a great deal and did not tackle as well as heretofore.
