There were several changes in the make-up of the 'varsity eleven yesterday. Holt was again at left guard after a week's absence. Hoague played centre as F. Shaw's injury has been found more serious than was at first supposed. Doucette played right guard which put Jaffray on the waiting list. Captain Brewer laid off for the day, Newell taking his place.
Mr. Deland was out on the field for the first time this year. Emmons took charge of the work yesterday and will continue to be head coach until the football season ends. Waters was dressed for play yesterday, taking his place at tackle on the second eleven against Donald for a time. Lewis as usual coached the centre men, he also being dressed to play.
Two short practice halves were played, At times the first played with a great deal of snap. The work of the second eleven was very aggressive once or twice. C. Brewer and Gonterman made long runs as usual.
