MIDDLETOWN, CONN., June 3. - Wesleyan easily defeated Amherst here today. The game was marked by the hard hitting of both sides and the sharp fielding of Wesleyan that made Amherst's 13 base hits count but four runs. Beeman knocked a home run. For Amherst, Sullivan and Trask and for Wesleyan, Powers and Beeman each played a great game. The score:
