HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
There are at present 25 candidates for the freshman nine, excepting battery. Five men are trying for the pitcher's box, and four for the position of catcher. All nine will doubtless be retained until after the spring recess. The batteries practice fifteen minutes apiece in the gymnasium cage. The regular candidates begin at four o'clock and practice picking up grounders and throwing and sliding bases. After this they go for a fast run for about a quarter of a mile and then exercise with dumb bells. Most of the pitchers are experienced men, having played on their school teams, Minton at the English High, Lanfield at the Cambridge High, Highland at the Fall River High School, Hoag at the Roxbury Latin, and Carr at the Gorden City School.
Manager Lee has arranged match games with Andover and Exeter. No further arrangements have yet been made.
