Last night the Wendell Phillips Club held its final competitive debate for membership, at which freshmen were especially invited to speak. The subject was:
Resolved, That the President's term of office be lengthened to six years, and that he be ineligible for re-election."
W. E. Hutton, '95, and H. Whitmore, '95, opened the debate. Three freshmen were elected members, F. Dobyns, H. J. Hosmer and J. M. Letterele. M. Ely, '96, was also elected a member. The election of officers will take place at the next meeting of the club.
