The annual spring races of the Weld Boat Club will be held on Saturday, May 25. The winning crew of the double sculls will be sent by the club to row in the amateur regatta at New York on Memorial Day. As this is the first time Harvard men have rowed in a New York regatta it is hoped that all members of the University who have rowed doubles will enter the race on the 25th.
The finish of the races will be at the Union Boat House. The following are the events:
Single sculls; a mile and a half with a turn.
Double sculls; one mile straight away.
Pair oars; one mile.
Organized fours; one mile.
Double canoes; one-half mile.
Wherries; one-half mile.
The entries will be free but they must positively be made at Thurston's or at the house before May 20. Mr. Donovan will coach the candidates.
