PROVIDENCE, R. I., May 2. - Brown more than retaliated on Holy Cross for her recent defeat by winning the game this afternoon by the score 16 to 5. For six innings Brown played an errorless game and the score stood 13 to 0. Donovan's muff in the seventh gave Holy Cross one run, two doubles and a single brought the visitors two runs in the eighth and in the ninth they made the score five on three errors by Summersgill, who played second in place of Donovan, who took Lauder's position at short.
